(0) Richard Beigel will hold office hours regularly on Mondays from 11:00

(1) Problem 3.28 is no longer assigned as part of problem set 3.

(2) The solutions given to problem set 2 have some errors.  The automaton
proposed as a solution to 2.5(a) should include a transition from the
start state to itself labelled $1$.  The automaton for 2.5(b) should also
include a transition from the start state to itself labelled $1$, and it
should not include a transition from the accepting state back to the start
state.  The corrected diagrams are attached.

(3) The automaton given as a solution to 2.12(b) is, in fact, a solution
to 2.11(b).  A solution to 2.12(b) is attached.
